《粵語方言詩》__岑建成(71)
現今全球使用粵語人口約有一億三千萬（非正式統計），粵語本身的聲調相當複雜豐富而又富于變化，也完整地保留了漢語的入聲，廣州話聽來亦悅耳動聽，用來朗誦唐宋詩詞，更是原汁原味，寧舍唔同。
以粵語入詩者，清末民初有何淡如，譚臥樓及廖恩燾。廖恩燾，據羅慷烈老師考証，生於1865年，廣東惠陽人，廖仲愷胞兄，曾任駐外多國公使領事，他也是陳香梅的外公，1954年卒于香港。廖精通中西語文，據說九歲時遠赴美國加州升學，從1924 年開始，寫了很多集合粤語、白話、文言的三及第詩，嬉笑怒罵，雖間或失之俚俗，但在省港澳傳播極廣，這些粵語詩，在他手上玩得融合又生鬼有趣，廣東人讀之會引發會心微笑，” now 鬆” 則因語言隔閡，便不知所云了。（但胡適到廣州時也曾入鄕隨俗寫了一首粵語詩噃，見下文）。
廖恩燾抗戰勝利後居香港，曾和劉伯端、羅慷烈（我的港大中文系老師）、王韶生等在堅尼地道廖仲愷故居組成 「堅社」，填詞唱和，自得其樂。（與會者包括張紉詩這位女詩人)

我遠道而來，在江風吹拂下，獨立船頭，抬望眼，見光霞照耀山崖。我心中懷著無限敬仰，合掌慕拜這有二十幾層樓 高的彌勒佛。
大佛臉孔慈祥，莊嚴肅穆。千百年来，波濤在他脚下洶湧，遠眺山川河泊，閱盡人世間的春夏秋冬。到而今，世界上的文化人也在看他，他們為大佛喝采，選了大佛為「聯合國教科文組織世界遺產」。
