合家食飯
中國人的家庭注重尊老愛幼和倫理親情。一是父母子女的隔代相親。二是兄弟姊妹的平輩敬愛。這些都表現在同室起居和同枱食飯的俗習中。在傳統家庭中，家庭飲食不以錢財計，而着重親情與分享，表現在家庭成員之間的互相體貼與關懷。
家庭中的家常菜式清茶淡飯，如果習以為常，一定給子女積澱一種愛的溫暖和恩的維繫，讓他們於長大成人以後，不論去到甚麽地方，均懷念情馳、眷戀不絕。這種事實應該為今天每一對生兒育女的夫妻認真正視，不能以「無時間」作為推卸，亦不可以用「有菲傭處理」代替。父母即使給子女做一道簡單的菜，用時間承傳中華文化中的共食傳統，都能收到有時預想不到的效果。
