June 23, 2014.
In GTA (Greater Toronto Area)
Got to sleep in this morning till 7:30am. With no agenda today, it was nice. I was even able to read Toronto Star while having coffee.
I took an afternoon nap, and it was great. I didn’t realize that I needed it.
After consultation with friends, family and my better half, Margaret, I have decided that this will be the final stop of the CCCC. So this would be the final entry of the blog. Continue reading

I am homesick and lack of motivation to ride back to Vancouver from here. I have already fulfilled my missions. The odometer said : 9,500 Km since I left home 23 days ago. I’ll sleep on it, and I will sleep in.
晉侯、秦伯圍鄭，以其無禮於晉，且貳於楚也。晉軍函陵，秦軍氾南。佚之狐言於鄭伯曰：「國危矣！若使燭之武見秦君，師必退。」
晉文公、秦穆公聯合出兵圍困鄭國。因為晉文公當年流亡在外，鄭伯(鄭文公)對晉文公不加禮遇，且勾結楚國，對晉國唔住。晉軍駐紮函陵，秦軍駐紮氾南。鄭大夫佚之狐向鄭伯講：「國家現在好危險！不過如果能夠派燭之武去遊說秦穆公，秦軍一定會撤退。」
公從之。辭曰：「臣之壯也，猶不如人。今老矣！無能為也已。」公曰：「吾不能早用子，今急而求子，是寡人之過也。然鄭亡，子亦有不利焉！」許之，夜縋而出。
鄭伯聽咁講，就去請燭之武 ，點知道佢一口推辭：「我壯年時，尚且不如人；而家年老，無咩用咯。」鄭伯說：「不能及早重用您，而家情況危急先至來求您，係寡人既錯咯！但是萬一鄭國滅亡，對您都不利啊。」燭之武終於答應。趁夜晚，用條繩子偷偷吊出城牆，出左城。 Continue reading

On the westbound trip, I am starting to get homesick, especially that I have fulfilled my third wish, seeing Quebec City. Mission accomplished. May be I won’t ride all the way back to Vancouver. Food for thought. Do you know of anybody that may want to buy my bike in Toronto?

Day 19, June 18, 2014.
Slept in this morning, and feeling my back straighter. Tom was busy mowing the big lawn, fertilizing the bushes, and doing preparation for the rain storm to arrive. Then he and Sherry drove me to the eastern part of Cape Breton, and checked out the older communities.
