寓言權能 

          寓言是說故事的文體,可用散文或詩句,務求運用生動而有趣的言說,啟發心智和情感,說明某種有用的智慧或道德精神。為此,寓言往往敍述動物、植物、人造的東西,以及大自然的動力的行為,把它們人性化。所以樹與草可以對話,大象與小鼠可以互相遊戲等。 

          《莊子》一書採用了大量寓言表達作者的智慧,許多篇章中竟包括一篇以《寓言》為題的專論。首段說明,言文權能無限,人們有寛濶的表意選擇,以達成和諧為宗旨。莊子創造了「天均」一詞,說明人自己的心理平衡,人際間的合拍,人與自然的調和。 

          末篇說幻覺的主體與客體,寓意深遠,是心理學的創新思想。

《忠恕之心,存同和異》__ 江紹倫

盡己力而敬天 

      中國人的最高人生原則是:「盡己性,盡人性,盡物性,贊天地之化育而與天地參」。這樣子的人生既照應了個人、他人和萬物,又順應了大自然的秩序,以及它的無限生機。 

      布朗(Brian Browne Walker)譯《中庸》,向歐人介紹中國的道德觀念,用《中國人的智慧》(The Wisdom of the Chinese)為題,指出這種人生觀廣大悉備,博厚高明,值得全人類欣賞和實行。 

      老子把握宇宙人生,創造了「道」的觀念。《老子‧五一》說:〝道生之,德畜之,物形之,勢成之,是以萬物莫不尊道而貴德。道之尊,德之貴,夫莫之命而常自然。故道生之,德畜之。長之育之……長而不宰,是謂玄德。〞

寒氣脆貂裘  Our sable coats stiff in the cold
傍枯林古道  Woods were bare on the ancient road
長河飲馬  We drank our horses in every running stream
此意悠悠  Every detail is vivid in my dreams

短夢依然江表  Fleeting dreams alive are fond to narrate
老淚洒西州  How we shed tears for departed comrades out west
一字無題處  Nowhere to put words down to attest
落葉都愁  Even fallen leaves joined in to mourn

載取白雲歸去  You went home carried by a white cloud
問誰留楚佩  Forgetting to whom your pendants should be left proud
弄影中洲  Pride is but shadow in mid country
折蘆花贈遠 向尋常野橋流水A  lone I break reeds to send away on under bridge flows
待招來 不是舊沙鷗  But the gulls that appear are not those we used to know

空懷感  In vain I sigh
有斜陽處  Where the sun sets
却怕登樓  A high tower I dare not ascend
