萬里雲間戍 Conflicts disturb ten thousand li of plateau terrain
立馬劍門關 At the Sword Gate Pass I sit on my steed to survey the ruins
亂山極目無際 Hills in varying sizes seen in a space with no limit
直北是長安 To the north our Capital stands in jeopardy
人苦百年塗炭 People enduring a hundred years of calamity
鬼哭三邊鋒鏑 Ghosts weep after long years of fighting with no end
天道久應還 Heaven’s justice should preside to keep peace on this land
手寫留屯奏 To the royal court I offer suggestions to end this war
炯炯寸心丹 Its words shine with my loyal heart forever more

對青燈 Facing a lone lamp
搔白首 I scratch my gray head
漏聲殘 The night is spent
老來勳業未就 In old age I had failed in any accomplishments
妨卻一身閒 Unconcerned I could enjoy life in appeasement
蒲澗清泉白石 White pebbles under springs waters beneath fern blades
梅嶺綠陰青子 Olives in Mt. Mei their greens gleam even in shades
怪我舊盟寒 They blame me for not remembering my prior vows
烽火平安夜 In a peaceful night featuring war frames
歸夢繞家山 I dream of being home in the mountain
