眾鳥高飛盡
孤雲獨去閑
相看兩不厭
只有敬亭山
Watching Jingting Peak in Solitude Li Bai (701-762) 江紹倫譯
Birds stop before reaching your majestic peak so high
Solitary clouds drift over you free and nigh
Where I can tirelessly watch birds and clouds the wonderful view
Here when I’m sitting in front of you
【敬亭獨坐】
眾鳥高飛盡, 孤雲去獨閒。
相看兩不厭, 唯有敬亭山。
Seated by Myself on Jingting Mountain Li Bai
Soaring high, all the birds have flown;
A slow cloud sails away alone.
With fondness we watch each other —
Mount Jingting, I won’t seek another!

may i replace my previous piece with the following i(mproved)-version that
has been kindly refined by Andrew W.F. Wong (Huang Hongfa) 黃宏發:
Seated by Myself at Jingting Mountain Li Bai
Soaring high, all birds have flown;
A slow cloud drifts away alone.
With fondness we watch each other —
Mount Jingting, I’ll seek no other!
