淚眼東風望欲迷  I look to the east wind in teary eyes seeing mists
烏絲醉墨記留題  Under bulb light I try to ink past events so tipsy
高情漫託梨同夢  In friendly trust we share dreams dramatic
綺思都隨絮著泥  Affective caring dwindle like fallen petals prolific
拾翠定愆游女約  We agreed to travel green pastures following dawns
斷紅猶誤子規啼  Only to miss in evenings hearing cuckoos singing on
尋春莫向江頭路  To pursue aspirations we should not follow roads up stream
滿地零香踐馬蹄  Fragrant petals all over suffer stamping of trotting steeds

隔檣猶誤聼鳴珂  From across the waters I hear not the literary activities
珠玉齊抛恨若何  So many poetic gems lost leaving me in acrimony
結綺樓中春色盡  Literary aspiration gone with our school of yesteryear
沈香亭畔月痕多  The Pavilion of Promise saw us whence moon appeared
空傳謝女才誇絮  In vain we linger on the beautiful works of poet Hsia
誰記張郎貌比荷  Who would equate the looks of genius Zhang with water lily flower
悵覓桃根渡江楫  My mind adrift I seek for a peach wood to reach my dreamland
含情重唱定風波  With deep admiration I sing again the poem of Su Dong Po
