看山霧
接到了你的信，和幾首詩，讀了幾遍，覺得極有趣味。
到底是我沒有讀新體詩的習慣呢？還是新體詩，另是一種好玩的東西呢？抑或是兩樣都有呢，這些疑問，還是梗在我的心頭。
只是我還有一個見解，我以為花樣是層出不窮的，新花樣出來，舊花樣仍然存在，誰也替不了誰，例如曲替不了詞，詞替不了詩，故此我和那絕對主張舊詩體仇視新體詩的人，固然不對，但是對於那些絕對主張新體詩抹殺舊體詩的人，也覺得太過。
你那首看山霧詩，我覺得極妙，我從前有相類的詩，隨便寫在下面給你看看。
曉煙
槲葉深黃楓葉紅，老松奇翠欲拏空
朝來別有空濛意，都在蒼煙萬頃中。
初陽如月逗輕寒，咫尺林原成遠看；
記得江南煙雨裡，小姑鬟影落春瀾。
煙霞洞
你如果來上海，
要知會我一聲。
