The computer
Its games hold
People young and old
Their attention and time controlled
By a minority of techno
Who knows not human freedom
Nor the import of life values
Only profit venues
Driving rains beat on the window pane
Winds chill blustering
Safe in my apartment with music divine
I attend to my mind’s eyes
Green hills chatting with clouds nigh
On look to a valley that thrives
Reflective paddy fields of shooting rice
Their beauty bursting in sunshine
Listening to Beethoven
Dream-like melodies
Thunderous roars
Tranquil pauses
Expansive orchestration
Floods swell deep in my heart
Shallows murmur in my ears
His are urgent insistent sounds
Music for the hungering soul
He wills to grasp infinity
A valiant show of Romanticism

The sun sets loud

Events of joy and sorrow chime Continue reading
The elements tell
Everything will go well
On horizon a line divide
Skies and ocean in lime Continue reading

City Dawn by Kong Shiu Loon
A single bird calls for chirps to wake
To announce the awaiting day-break
The sky a greenish grey
Tinted with a pastel yellow haze
The park is yet to be occupied
Up high a lone eagle leisurely glides
Suddenly a distant siren interrupts the quiet peace
A possible tragedy in precarious urban existence
