A Good Day

I had a good time today
Feeling great
I visited a friend in distress
Helping to set his mind at rest
I cooked a meal for my family
Three dishes they ate happily

I’ve read this poem by Blake
His depiction of love and hate
Thus when I’m ready for bed
I feel peaceful having no regret
That this day is done
And ‘morrow will begin a new one
