《Tune: For the Bridegroom • To Prime Minister Lee》 Zhang Yuen Gan (1091-1161)
I ascent the tower helped by my cane
The Big Dipper hangs
In the river billows surge high and wide
On the foggy landing the moon shines
Clouds driven away winds remain
No boat will carry me over the river tonight
Wild geese roost
Deep in reeds
Here I look for my lone shadow
Where people dwell snoring rise like drumming
Who would keep step with me
To dance in drunken spree
Burnt ten years ago Yang Zhow exists in a dream
In this cold I lean
Pinning for my old country
Wishing to dismiss the enemy
Like our legend hero wilding a three feet sword
Not to give in with bygone Pipa songs
Negotiation is now complete
Sword buried deep
I ask if it is time to recede
Across the stream lanquid to pass days in leisure fishing
Winds wildly surge
To patriotic spirit they surge
