遙夜泛清瑟      西風生翠蘿
殘螢棲玉露      早雁拂金河
高樹曉還密      遠山晴更多
淮南一葉下      自覺洞庭波

The serene zither music hovers all night
The west winds stand green vines high
Fading fireflies rest on jade-like dews
Early wild geese bring the Milky Way in view
At dawn tall thick trees loom bright
Distant hills project plenty of sunshine
To see a single leaf fall south of the River Huai
I feel autumn is here waves in DongtingLake high

紅葉晚蕭蕭  長亭酒一瓢
殘雲歸太華  疏雨過中條
樹色隨關迥  河聲入海遙
帝鄉明日到  猶自夢漁樵

《Returning to the Capital in Autumn》 

Crimson leaves sigh and sigh in the evening
I drank a full gourd of wine at the Long Pavilion
As dwindling clouds return to West Mount up high
Light rain showers the middle ridges from behind
I see trees in brilliant colours circle the city wall
I hear rumbles going to the distant sea river pour
I shall be arriving at the Capital tomorrow
I still dream of playing a fisher or woodcutter’s role
