<<Tune: Qin Garden Spring>> Algonquin Park
Late autumn in eastern Canada
A thousand hills in red and lavender
Ten thousand trees in brown and yellow splendor
Driving north from Toronto
On both sides of the roads
Leaves display brilliant colors fold after fold
The world is a show of fantasy fables
Gearing my car up full speed
Fields and valleys fly by like rushing steeds
In glee my mind serene my spirit upbeat
Under the searing sun
Blue and green mountain ranges quietly run
Faint clouds up high sky engaging in catching fun
Silver white lakes shine like mirrors
Reflecting a hundred tinted grasses vying for glamour
Checking in a cabin in the forest
I give my tired body a little rest
Breathing deep in the fragrant fresh air
My lungs inflate and my mind in flair
All worldly struggles result in loss or gain
They are but figments of shame or fame
These Nature’s wonderful charms are mine to obtain
In high airy spirit
Holding a rod and wriggling baits in my hands
I fish in subdue pleasure till the day ends
