   夜深偏照愁人木 At dead of night it slants towards the forlorn tree
   斷紅裡、葉葉飄零 Shedding blood, leaves adrift in desolate starkness
   目送隨風敗綠 Battered green gone with the wind farewell to thee
   人生多少行程 For many a mile life carries on

   雁來無語獨相迎 A goose arrives whence I’m muted and alone
   一叫邁長征 To embark on a long march it croons
   艱難苦困天涯路 Hardship to endure on the way to heaven’s brim
   盡頭處、又是新晴 At the end, sunshine’s again shown
   得待明年皓月 Next year awaiting still the silvery moon
   再還未了柔情 I’d yet return to sweet lingering love that’s been sown
