I was not all play and no work while in Hong Kong last year
I cared for Hong Kong, the place where I was born and where I’ve spent most of my life (to now).
The attached was a request to a young District Councillor to widen the zebra crossing at a high-traffic and accident-prone junction in Sai Wan Ho, Hong Kong.
I had this request in mind for umpteen years but had been dragging my feet until one day I saw this young fellow on the street poster. “Good, let me try him. First, he is young; let me see what he would do. Secondly, he is the local councillor; he should have a better understanding of the problem since his office is only down the street (the former HK harbour; now the whole reclaimed land with highways and residential estates).”, I told myself.
So, I tried.
He responded. In fact, according to him, he had been thinking and working on the problem too.
So….today, according to his poster, some actions will be taken. Good! The PowerPoint was meant to be a proposal…..quite verbose. (This saves work of the councillor in case he or she just wants to turn it around as his or her own request to the Govt. Dept.). I forgot to put in the date. Bonkers! Nonetheless, it served its purpose.
Enjoy this proposal. (The last one was one to fix a broken roof of a pavilion up the HK Trail…..and the roof was fixed!).
