Album – Centre Island 2016 May 21s
When the kids were small, the whole family would go out there for the rides at Centreville and for quad-cycle rentals.
The last time I was there was with two of my teenage children in the 90’s. That day was misty. We simply went for a walk.
Now that the children are all grown up and left home, it is a different feeling and venture to go “picnicking” at Centre Island by myself.
I went on the eve of Mother’s Day, May 8, but the weather was not co-operating. I was drenched in the rain and had to find shelter in the barn most of the time.
On May 21, just two days ago, I went again.
For the first time, I walked to the west side of the island and the marina, places that I had never been before. Oh! the Clothing Optional Beach (COB) at Hanlan’s point….a must-see sight!
The weather was fine. The sky was blue with white clouds dotting it. I took some photos and would like to share with you (hey, only one on the COB though).
Enjoy.
