城闕夜千重  This city harbours a thousand roofs on this night
還作江南會  What a wonder we meet in this southern land

風枝驚暗鵲  The wind waves the branches to startle the magpies
露草覆寒蟲  Freezing insects cower under the wet grass piles
羈旅長堪醉  As wayfarers we are allowed to freely drink
相留畏曉鐘  Our only concern is the morning toll will not ring
