《山中》王維 (701-761)

荊溪白石出
天寒紅葉稀
山路元無雨
空翠濕人衣

In the Mountain          Wang Wei (701-761)        江紹倫譯

O’er white pebbles a clear stream glides
E’en in cold days no red leaves are found on hillsides
There is no trace of rain on the hilly paths
My clothes are moistened in the green bath

    【山中】 王維
    荊溪白石出﹐ 天寒紅葉稀。
    山路元無雨﹐ 空翠濕人衣。

    In the Mountain Wang Wei
    The Jing Creek flows; shiny white pebbles are expos’d.
    Last of the red leaves are rare where cold air prevails.
    There is certainly no rain on the mountain trails;
    Yet, the misty void and green foliage wet my clothes.
