Heidenr\u00f6slein<\/em><\/strong> is a poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe<\/a>. It has been set to music by a number of composers, most notably by Franz Schubert<\/a> as his “D.<\/a> 257<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

The boy then said: \u201cI shall pick thee,

\nThe little rose said: \u201cI shall stick thee,
\nThough you\u2019ll always think of me,

Still the rough boy picked the rose,
