This tenor aria actually is from a German opera \u201cMartha \u739b\u592a\u201d [See http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Martha_(opera)] by Friedrich von Flotow (1812-1883) with German libretto.\u00a0 The original German aria is \u201cAch, so fromm, ach so traut\u201d (\u201cOh so sweet! Oh so true!\u201d\u00a0 The romantic comic opera is based on a Scottish story of idealized love that crosses the class boundary between royalty and peasantry.<\/p>\n
