送萬巨《Seeing Wan Zhi Off》

With zither song and wine I beg you to stay
It is heart-renting to part on this year-end day
Frosted leaves fall where no winds blow
Autumn clouds rainless their shades flow

On the narrow path of this deserted village who would not grieve
Facing the deeps of this frigid river what horse would not fear
Alone I stand in search for green hills to appear
Hoping to meet you where you had disappeared

送李端《Seeing Li Dun Off》

Withered grass grow around this ancient Pass
Parting is a sorrowful matter
Your cold road will follow the clouds far
I shall brave the snow to return home at dusk

We wandered when young away from a homestead
And befriend one another quite late when we met
Hiding our tears we keep staring at each other
Knowing we will not meet again for sure

晚次鄂縣《Mooring at E-Xian One Night》

Where clouds dispersed Hanyang appears far away
Our voyage on this lone sail will take another day
The merchants nap through the day as waves subside
The boatmen chat at night anticipating a high tide

As rivers cross in autumn colours my hair may turn white
Longing for home in ten thousand li I watch the moon bright
Going to war my old career has been ruined beyond repair
I quiver hearing distant war-drums thunder in the air

His arrows in eagle feather tufts
His pennons marked by swallows
He stands tall waving out a new order
A thousand battalions shout a united holler

Under the dim woods grass shiver as winds howl
At night the general tests his iron bow
He looks for his arrow the next morn
It pierced a rock amid the wild thorns

Wild geese fly high in moonless nights
The Tartar Chieftain waits for darkness to take flight
Our cavaliers make chase their steeds fast
Their bows and swords coated with snow dust

By evening sumptuous banquets are wide spread
The natives feast the victors with all they have
Dancing on golden amours we drink to get drunk
The hills and rills shake at the thunders of our drums
