Fondly I walk at riverside where green grass grow
Deep in a nearby wood orioles sing melodies of old

By the stream the lonesome lush green grass to and fro sways;
Up in the deep woods nightingales are gaily singing.
Last night it rained and the rising Spring current is swinging;
No one’s at the ferry: empty boat swings across the waves.
