April Morning__SL Kong

April Morning

Early morning
Trees shining
They stand tall and about
Over hills in and outI counted forty-three greens
With flowers they gleam
Birds compete to sing
Tenor and soprano notes ring
The sky in pale grey
Tinted with suggestive pinks in haze
In an instant
The world turns white and crimson
A moment of strange silence
Even birds pause to listen
There on tree-tops appear
In a sea of colours the sky cheers
‘Tis an April morning
